2017 M Performance-tuned Austin Yellow M3

BMW's M division is running a properly ironic marketing campaign right now, playing off of what is best described as criticism since the F-chassis M3 and M4 were released in 2015. Too Much. Simple, straight forward, and for the longest time what was constantly said about the F80 M3 and M4. 425hp and 406lb/ft of torque would easily light up the rear tires on either car…if you turned off traction control and were, shall we say, enthusiastic with your right foot. In a market place, across all segments, in a virtual horsepower war, this was 'too much.' This wasn't what the doctor ordered?

In the end, the power is handled perfectly in both cars, and even more so when equipped with the Competition Package which provides slightly wider, slightly stickier Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

But what to do when Too Much still is not enough? With only your color choice differentiating your M3 or M4 Competition package from the rest of the fray at the local BMW Meet, what to do? Enter BMW's M Performance division.

BMW Individual 2018 750i xDrive - Grigio Telesto

You have probably heard about BMW Individual. You have probably seen BMW Individual color options on But how "individual" can you go with this program? Very. Choose virtually any color from BMW's past, or any other manufacturer, provide the color code, and let BMW work it's magic. We've done this in the past with our Signal Green M4, Imola Red M4, and Speed Yellow M3. Per a client's request we even did a 750i in Estoril Blue, a color made famous on the E36 chassis M3.
This 750i is painted Grigio Telesto, or Lamborghini Grey. Stunning in its own right, this color toes the line between matte (no gloss) paint and a deep, rich metallic (shiny, sparkly). For a color normally seen on a low-slung exotic, the paint color provides a subtle definition to the lines of the 750i, making a large sedan appear smaller. Combined with the M Sport Package and 20" M Light Alloy wheels, the look is definitely sporting with a sophisticated twist.
