2019 Alpine White over Mugello Red leather X6M

When the first generation X6M debuted in 2009, it reinforced BMW’s marketing slogan of “The Ultimate Driving Machine, dismissing skeptics quickly with its 547hp/500tq twin-turbo V8. The second generation, which you see here, furthered those abilities with an additional 20hp and 53(!)ld/ft of torque. Raw performance and shockingly good driving dynamics, coupled with the svelte lines of the F16 chassis design, mean this bruiser of a performance SAV leaves an impression anywhere and everywhere.

On startup, the revised twin-turbo V8 features an angrier exhaust note, while the non-metallic Alpine White paint slightly softens the aggressive fenders and larger front air intakes. Open the doors an you’re greated with full Mugello Red Merino leather and superbly supportive seats…for those “enthusiastic” Sunday drives. Turn the radio on, and the signature Bang & Olufsen center-channel speaker rises from the dash. Only question remains: Enjoy your favorite music or the glorious combination of engine induction and exhaust noises? Choose wisely.

2019 M4 CS

If you thought you were going to have to wait for more of the GTS track-focused tech to hit the streets, allow us to highlight the M4 CS. If the standard M4 wasn’t enough, or if the Competition Package still has too much GT baked in, then the CS strikes the perfect balance. With 453 hp and 443lb/ft of torque, it’s the best performing iteration of the F80 chassis this side of the GTS. While the sport-exhaust announces your arrival from a distance, the visual statement of San Marino Blue paint, that vented GTS hood, combine with a bespoke carbon-fiber splitter, trunk spoiler, and Matte Orbit Grey Style 763M wheels to provide a lasting, powerful impression. Climb inside the bi-color interior, and the M4 GTS influences stretch from dash (perforated “CS” lettering in the alcantara trim) to the center console: There’s no armrest. Because, after all, your hands will be gripped tightly to the alcantara-trimmed M Performance steering wheel. Get in and hold on.

2019 Alpine White M5 Competition

When 600hp isn’t enough, let’s tweak the dial and pump out six-hunderd-AND-SEVENTEEN horsepower. Then, we’ll tweak the suspension, increasing the spring rates by 10% while lowering the car 7mm. Lest you worry, the adaptive dampers are properly tuned to work in concert with the lower, stiffer springs. While we were in there futzing around, we gave you a bit more camber adjustment upfront and stiffer rear sway bar. The engine also moves around a bit less thanks to stiffer mounts and the exhaust is properly noisy

Cliff notes? The M5 Competition is THAT much better than the standard M5, which is to say, when you’re given a great M5, there’s nothing wrong with making it even better. This particular M5 Competition sports Alpine White paint with some choice M Performance accents such as the carbon fiber trunk spoiler, rear diffuser and side blade extensions. The standard gloss black window surrounds and kidney grilles present a very Storm Trooper like appearance – sinister for sure, but down-right cool at the same time.

Inside you’re met with sumptuous Aragon Brown Merino leather, Bowers & Wilkins premium audio, which is an amazingly comfortable place to sit to wherever and for however long you choose to be behind the wheel.
