Both these coupes have plenty of style, but what’s under the hood? Turns out, even when you opt for base models, you get plenty of power no matter which one you pick. The 4 Series has a bit of an advantage though. They both utilize 2.0L 4-cylinder engines, but the 4 Series can produce up to 248 horsepower, while the C-Class can only muster 241 horsepower. Surprisingly the 4-Series still maintains a better fuel economy, earning an EPA-estimated 34 highway MPG compared to the C-Class’ 30 highway MPG.

If that’s not enough power for you, you can always upgrade. Well, you can upgrade the 4 Series. The C-Class is stuck at 241 horsepower, but the available 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo engine for the 4 Series can offer an incredible 322 horsepower. Even with all that extra power, it’s still superior in fuel economy with an EPA-estimated 31 highway MPG.

When you’re going all out for a premium coupe, you should expect a comfy interior, and both these coupes can provide. The interior will be plenty soft whether you opt for the cloth or leather upholstery, but the 4 Series offers a bit more room.

Behind the wheel, you can enjoy a whole 39.8 inches of headroom and 42.2 inches of legroom. The C-Class comes close with its 38.8 inches of headroom and 42 inches of legroom, but doesn’t quite make the cut. Rear passengers can enjoy surprisingly comfortable space, as well, but like the front passengers, the people in the back will experience an inch or so more room in the 4 Series.

Both these coupes are filled with the latest tech from innovative infotainment systems to the incredible Heads-Up Display system which displays important information directly on your windshield. However, the 4 Series is a bit more convenient as it includes wireless charging for your smartphone along with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.
