BMW Coupes Review
With a wide range of vehicle options to select from, it’s hard to go wrong when looking at a coupe. But with many BMW coupes to choose from, it’s worth knowing what each one brings to the table. The professional sales team at BMW of Manhattan has compiled this review of the BMW coupes.
BMW 2 Series Coupe
The sporty BMW 2 Series is known for its agile handling and sportiness. Whether it’s the 230i coupe or the M240i, stepping behind the wheel allows you to experience what power is all about.
With an available 335 horsepower M Performance engine, rattle the pavement and go from 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds. The spring-strut front suspension and five-link rear suspension make this coupe fun to drive.
The 2.0-liter engine on this 4-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 248 horsepower. There’s an available 320 horsepower engine on the inline 6-cylinder engine, found on the 440i. This car sits low, with a wide chassis and full LED headlights which are broad and truly stand out.
Variable sport steering, which is an available feature, will adjust the steering force to handle driving conditions as they change. On winding roads enjoy better agility and response, with stability when reaching higher speeds.
BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe
This was the first 4-door coupe ever created by BMW, and the 6 Series Gran Coupe continues to be a prestigious and luxurious vehicle. From the outside, there are nine different wheel options, in up to a 20-inch diameter, adding style and grace to the performance run-flat tires.
The 640i Gran Coupe comes with a 6-cylinder engine which produces 335 horsepower, while the 4.4-liter V8 can produce up to 445 horsepower. Heated leather front seats add a bit of elegance to the cabin, and the wood trim and ambient lighting set the mood for each ride.
BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe
This is a hatchback edition of the X3, and can be classified as a Sports Activity Coupe, with a low roof similar to that of a coupe and an athletic appearance. The panoramic moonroof provides great views and lets light into the cabin.
The standard BMW navigation system provides directions on a 10-inch iDrive touchscreen, with Apple CarPlay™ providing engagement with your smartphone right on the screen. There’s an 8-speed sport automatic transmission which shifts quickly, and drive modes letting you take control over how the car handles the road ahead.
This is a midsize crossover, featuring a low roofline much like the X4. Inside the cabin, there are available 20-way contour seats with soft, rich leather. The Harmon Kardon® sound system is a 16-speaker setup with a 600-watt amplifier, for premium concert-quality sound.
The inline 6-cylinder 3.0-liter engine provides 300 horsepower, while the larger 4.4-liter V8 is capable of producing up to 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
